What does NDIS fund?
The NDIS provides funding for participants to receive the reasonable and necessary disability-related assistance they need to meet their requirements and accomplish their objectives.
What NDIS does not fund?
Support that is not directly or indirectly related to your restrictions or an expense of daily life is not covered by the NDIS. Additionally, it does not take the place of funds that are better suited from other sources, including transportation, health care, or education. The current level of funding for these supports will not change. It also does not fund activities, which may be detrimental to participants or their associates.
How will my NDIS funds be handled?
During your planning meeting, you will be asked how you would like your NDIS plan funds to be managed. This refers to how service providers and support are paid. There are various options available:
- self-managing
- a financial intermediary
- the NDIS (also known as Agency managed) or

What happens if I'm not happy with the service provider I selected?
During your plan, you have the option to switch service providers. To find out how long notice you must give, you must consult your service agreement. Can I change my support worker?
